Rotterdam just has its own White House. Built in Art Nouveau style, this house was designed by architect Molenbroek. The 43-metre high building was the first skyscraper of the Netherlands and even of Europe with 10 floors. As if by a miracle, it survived all the bombing of Rotterdam in the Second World War. On the flat roof there is a viewing platform which can be reached by lift. If you've enjoyed the view, you can go to the Grand Café or Restaurant Cocktail Bar Elit for a snack and a drink on the ground floor.
