In addition to real cats, you will find here a collection that shows the role the cat has played in the field of art and culture over the centuries.
The Kattenkabinet was founded in memory of John Pierpont Morgan (1966-1983). This particular red hangover was the companion of the founder of the Kattenkabinet, Bob Meijer. There are still memories of John in the museum. The collection also includes paintings, drawings, printed matter, sculptures and other artworks by cats. You will find work by Picasso, Rembrandt, Sal Meijer and many others.
