The Beestenmarkt is a 50 by 60 meter square that was created by the demolition of the Minderbroederklooster. The square was used for livestock markets, where farmers from the Westland showed their livestock. Nowadays, the Beestenmarkt is a cozy square surrounded by the terraces of the many restaurants that can be found in the summer.
