Flying Pins

Take a look at the Flying Pins. The bowling ball with flying cones is a special coastal work and at the highest point no less than 8.5 meters high.

Flying Pins is a special public work of art designed by sculptors Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. The artwork was unveiled on May 31, 2000, is at the highest point 8.5 metres and stands at the head of John F. Kennedy Avenue. You see a bowling ball with ten flying cones around it. The designers came up with the idea because they saw a bowling alley in the Kennedylaan and then managed to create a unique work of art.
