Visit the Markt and see this beautiful town hall built in a Gothic style by a Flemish architectural family.
In 1452, the town hall was built by several generations of a Flemish architectural family. The construction lasted until 1520, and the Gothic style is beautifully incorporated into the construction. This can be seen in the turrets, the windows and the 25 statues of Zeeland tombs and Countess. The tower is also called Malle Betje, because the clock lags behind that of the Lange Jan.
